The city sits at a geographic crossroads where Atlantic breezes and Mediterranean air do battle, which means some days you’ll catch a merciful wind off the water and feel almost human, and other days you’ll be sweating through your shirt before you’ve finished breakfast.

Rainfall is essentially a non-issue. July is bone dry, which is one genuine advantage if you’re planning outdoor exploration.

If you want atmospheric café culture and golden-hour medina light, July delivers.

For anyone who struggles in heat or crowds, September is the honest recommendation.

**One practical tip:** Book your riad with air conditioning confirmed in writing. “Cool rooms” is a phrase that means very different things to very different people.
