# Antibes in October: The Honest Version

October is genuinely one of the better times to visit Antibes, though not for the reasons a glossy brochure would tell you.

The summer circus has packed up and left. The mega-yachts that clog the old port through August are mostly gone, the restaurants have their tables back inside, and you can actually walk through the market at Cours Masséna without getting elbowed by someone in a Hermès beach bag. The old town feels like a real place again rather than a backdrop for other people’s Instagram content.

At 20 degrees, the weather is genuinely pleasant rather than aggressively hot. You can walk the ramparts along the sea wall without sweating through your shirt, and the light has that softer Mediterranean quality that photographers lose their minds over.
