October is genuinely one of the better times to visit Alanya, though not for the reasons travel sites usually give you.
The temperature sits around 24-25°C, which sounds perfect on paper, and mostly it is. You’re not melting like you would have been in August, and you can actually walk around the castle without questioning your life choices. The sea is still warm from months of summer heat, so swimming is absolutely fine for most of the month, particularly early October. By the last week, some people find it a touch cool, but plenty are still in the water.

**Practical tip:** Book a boat trip for the first few days of your visit rather than the end. Weather gets patchier as the month progresses, and an October storm can cancel departures with little notice.
