# Antalya in November: The Honest Version

November in Antalya sits in that awkward middle ground where summer has definitely packed up and left, but winter hasn’t fully committed either. Temperatures hover around 20°C, which sounds perfectly pleasant on paper, and it genuinely is for most of the day. Mornings can feel fresh, evenings get noticeably cool, and you’ll want a jacket after dark. The problem is the rain. November dumps around 113mm on the city, making it one of the wetter months of the year. That’s not constant grey drizzle either – it tends to arrive in proper Mediterranean downpours that clear up, then return when you’ve just laid your jacket down somewhere.

The crowds are essentially gone. Hotels that were charging serious money in August are suddenly negotiable, and the old town, Kaleiçi, actually becomes walkable without elbowing past tour groups. You can wander the Roman harbour, explore the narrow streets, and sit in a tea garden without anyone trying to sell you a boat trip every thirty seconds. That part is genuinely lovely.

What’s open is a mixed picture. The old town restaurants and most historical sites stay open year-round. The big beach clubs and resort facilities along the coast are largely shut or running skeleton operations. The waterfalls at Düden and Kurşunlu are still worth visiting and arguably look better with more water flowing through them.

Swimming is off the table for most people. The sea drops to around 22°C, which hardcore swimmers find acceptable, but if beach time was your main goal, you’re in the wrong month.

So who should actually go in November? City explorers, history people, hikers heading into the Taurus Mountains, and anyone who finds summer crowds genuinely exhausting. Budget travellers will find the value excellent.

**One practical tip:** Book accommodation with good indoor common areas or a proper bar. On rainy evenings, you’ll want somewhere comfortable to retreat to, and a characterless hotel room gets old fast when the weather turns.
