**Who should probably wait:** Families with kids expecting beach fun, anyone who booked specifically for paragliding (operations are weather-dependent and unreliable in January), or people who need a buzzing social scene to enjoy a trip.

**One practical tip:** Don’t rely on finding things open when you arrive. Email or call your accommodation in advance and ask them honestly which restaurants are actually operating that week. Locals will tell you the truth in a way that booking sites simply won’t.
