So who is February actually right for? Honestly, it suits people who travel for atmosphere rather than activities. History lovers, photographers, couples wanting somewhere quiet and dramatic, anyone who hates crowds on principle. It’s genuinely not ideal for families with young children expecting beach energy, or anyone whose mood depends heavily on sunshine.

Prices for flights and accommodation drop significantly, which matters.

**One practical tip:** The wall walk takes on a completely different character in winter light, but go on a clear morning rather than gambling on the afternoon. Check the forecast obsessively and time it right. You’ll have it almost to yourself, which is something summer visitors simply never experience.
