This is just the reality.

That said, rainfall is almost nothing — around 8.5mm for the entire month — so you’re essentially guaranteed sunshine every single day. The sea temperature hovers around 28°C, which sounds perfect until you realise it barely cools you down anymore. It’s like bathing in warm soup.

**Is it worth it?** Honestly, it depends entirely on who you are. If you love energy, late nights, beach bars, warm water swimming, and don’t mind crowds, August genuinely delivers something electric. Families with school-age kids come precisely because everything is running perfectly. But if heat drains you, or you were hoping for peaceful sightseeing at the castle without queuing in direct sun, you might leave slightly frazzled.

Solo travellers and couples wanting romance might find it overwhelming rather than magical.

**One practical tip:** Do anything cultural — the castle, the cave, the harbour walk — before 9am or after 6pm. The midday heat turns sightseeing into mild suffering, and the light is better at golden hour anyway.
