This is where the grand hotels sit close enough to the action to feel alive but refined enough to insulate you from the chaos. The Capri Palace Jumeirah in Anacapri offers a slightly different proposition, sitting higher on the island with a calmer, more spa-focused atmosphere and genuinely spectacular views. Anacapri as a whole is quieter, less fashionable, and honestly underrated for those who want Capri’s beauty without its social performance. If privacy and discretion matter to you, this is where to look seriously.

The Marina Grande area sounds romantic but delivers mixed results. It’s the arrival point for ferries, which means constant foot traffic, noise, and a slightly transient energy that works against the relaxed luxury experience you’re paying for. Avoid booking here unless your specific hotel has strong insulation from the port activity.

One booking mistake that costs people dearly is reserving without confirming the hotel’s boat transfer arrangement. Many luxury properties on Capri offer private boat transfers from Naples or Sorrento, and failing to arrange this means navigating the public hydrofoil with luggage during peak season, which is genuinely stressful and sets the wrong tone entirely.
