Rainfall is essentially nonexistent – you’re in the middle of a North African summer, and the sky will be blazingly clear for your entire trip.

Walking the souks at 2pm feels like moving through a very beautiful oven. The medina’s narrow, shaded alleyways help more than you’d expect, but you’ll still be sweating through clothes you thought were breathable.

**Crowds are actually lower than you’d think.** Many European tourists avoid July precisely because of the heat, so you won’t be fighting through the Djemaa el-Fna in the same rugby scrum you’d face in April.
