July and August are best approached honestly rather than enthusiastically. Prices surge, patience wears thin, and the charm of Protaras genuinely struggles under the pressure. If those months are your only option, arriving very early in the morning and retreating from the beach by noon makes the experience more bearable.
Winter and spring outside of May are quieter to the point of feeling abandoned, with many restaurants and hotels closing entirely between November and March. The weather remains mild but unreliable, and the infrastructure simply isn’t geared toward off-season visitors.
