October in Denia is genuinely one of those months where you’re rolling the dice a little, and that’s worth knowing upfront.

The weather sits in this interesting in-between zone. Early October can still feel like summer’s stubborn last stand, with temperatures around 22-26°C and enough warmth to sit outside comfortably in the evening. But by late October, things shift. You might get gloriously clear, warm days with that golden light that makes the castle and the mountain look almost unreasonably beautiful. You might equally get heavy Mediterranean rain that comes down hard and fast, the kind that floods the streets briefly and then disappears. **One practical tip:** Book a table at one of the rice restaurants for a weekday lunch. In summer they’re booked solid weeks ahead. In October you can often walk up or book same-day, take your time, and actually afford to order properly. That alone can make the trip.
