Look, April in Belek is genuinely one of those months where you’re rolling the dice a little, and it’s worth understanding that before you book.

The weather sits in that awkward in-between zone. Daytime temperatures typically land somewhere in the high teens to low twenties Celsius, which sounds perfectly pleasant until you factor in that it can genuinely go either way. Some April weeks are gloriously warm with long sunny afternoons that make you feel smug about your timing. Others bring grey skies, a cold wind off the sea, and rain that arrives uninvited and stays longer than welcome. The Mediterranean coast gets its rainfall mainly in winter and spring, and April hasn’t quite shaken that habit off yet. Pack accordingly and don’t build your entire trip around guaranteed sunshine.

The sea is cold. Nobody really swims comfortably in April, despite what some hotel photos might imply. The water temperature hovers around 18 degrees, which is fine if you’re the type who calls anything bracing a good time, but most people wade in, make a face, and retreat to the sunbed.

For golfers specifically, April is quietly excellent. Belek built its reputation on golf, the courses are beautifully maintained in spring, and booking is straightforward without the summer scramble.

Families with young children who need water park action might find some attractions not fully switched on yet. Check specifically before assuming everything’s running.

Is it worth it? For golfers, couples wanting a relaxed affordable break, or anyone who’d rather have a quieter resort experience over guaranteed heat, yes absolutely. For sun-worshippers who’ll be miserable without scorching temperatures and pool parties, maybe wait until June.

**Practical tip:** Book a room with a bathtub. You’ll thank yourself on the cold evenings.
