Visiting Belek in March

# Belek in March: Honest Thoughts

Look, March in Belek is genuinely a bit of a gamble, and anyone who tells you otherwise is trying to sell you something.

The weather sits in that frustrating in-between zone. You’re looking at temperatures somewhere in the mid-teens, occasionally creeping toward 18 or 19°C on a good day, but equally capable of dropping back to 12°C and turning grey for stretches at a time. Rainfall is unpredictable – March can be surprisingly wet, or you might luck out with a run of bright, mild days. You simply cannot count on either. Pack layers and don’t build your entire trip around lying on a beach.

That said, the beaches themselves are actually quite pleasant to walk – just not really to swim. The sea is still cold enough to make most people think twice.

Here’s where March gets genuinely interesting though: almost nobody is there. The big all-inclusive resorts are either still shuttered or just creaking back to life, which means the area feels quiet in a way that’s either peaceful or slightly eerie depending on your personality. Some facilities won’t be fully operational yet, restaurants and bars in the resort strip may have limited hours or menus, and you might find yourself eating the same place three nights running.

**Who this actually suits:** golfers. Belek’s real identity is a golf destination, and March is genuinely excellent for that – the courses are green, temperatures are comfortable for playing, and the fairways aren’t crowded. If you’re coming for golf, March might honestly be one of the better months.

Families hoping for a proper beach holiday? Wait until at least late May. People wanting buzzing nightlife and full resort amenities? Same advice.

The town itself and Antalya nearby are worth exploring when the weather closes in, and you’ll get an authentically local feel that July visitors simply won’t experience.

**Practical tip:** Book accommodation with an indoor pool. Treat it as a bonus rather than the backup plan, and your whole trip becomes more relaxed whatever the sky decides to do.
