Here’s the honest bit. The old town is charming for about forty-five minutes. Terra Mitica theme park is decent but hardly worth a special trip. The dominant tourist experience is essentially a British resort that happens to be located in Spain. English menus, English pubs, English television in the bars. If authentic Spanish culture is anywhere on your list of priorities, Benidorm will frustrate you deeply. You could spend a week there and return having eaten almost no Spanish food and spoken almost no Spanish.
